“His chips don’t lie!”, “Let’s keep doing it!” – The best reactions from Liverpool players reacted on Twitter after 3-1 win over Manchester United

Liverpool secured a fine 3-1 win over Manchester United to move back to the top of the table in the Premier League.

The Reds opened the scoring via Sadio Mane but Jesse Lingard took advantage of a spill from Alisson in the first half to level things up.

We needed some extra attacking flair from the bench as Xherdan Shaqiri came on and scored two vital goals.

This was our first win over the Red Devils in the Premier League with Jurgen Klopp at the helm, and the players were over the moon.

Rhian Brewster didn’t play, but the youngster knew what it meant to get one over the Red Devils.

James Milner also was not part of the side that beat United, but the Englishman posted a rather modest tweet about the result.

Of course, the talk of the town was going to be Shaqiri, and many Liverpool players thanked the Swiss star for his brace against our bitter rivals.

Two players that shone for us in midfield were Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho. The latter was excellent in the game as he set up the first goal, and ensured United’s midfield barely did anything of note at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah didn’t score in the win but the Egyptian could not resist posting a couple of photos from the tie.

Our next game is against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday, and we should start as favourites for the tie after this amazing result.
