James Milner to return? – Predicted Liverpool line-up to face Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers host the Reds on Friday as we look to extend our lead at the top of the Premier League to four points.

Liverpool come off a couple of huge wins over Napoli and Manchester United but the Wolves will not be easy fodder given their exploits this season.

They have already defeated Chelsea and drawn with Manchester City, so the Reds have to be wary of their opposition.

Liverpool were incredible in the win over United, but Jurgen Klopp could make some changes in the starting XI as we look to keep the players fresh.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is a doubt for the game with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip recovering from injuries, and here is our predicted line-up for Klopp’s men.

The Brazilian made an error in the 3-1 win over United, but that shouldn’t faze him as we look for all three points on Friday.

James Milner (RB)

Nathaniel Clyne did a decent job in defence, but it is unlikely he will start two games in five days for us, and we could see Milner coming into the right-back slot.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

Possibly the best defender in the world, Van Dijk has barely put a foot wrong at Liverpool and the centre-back needs to be vigil against a crafty Wolves team.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

Lovren was barely threatened at the back by United, but the Croatian will face a tougher test at Molineux.

Andy Robertson (LB)

The best left-back in the league should start on Friday as the games keep on coming.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

It was a surprise seeing Henderson not starting against United, but the captain should make a return on Friday.

Fabinho (CM)

The performance against United was possibly Fabinho’s best since joining the Reds, and the Brazilian should continue in the team.

Naby Keita (CAM)

The Guinea midfielder had a great game for us on Sunday and hopefully, plays more down the middle against Wolves.

Xherdan Shaqiri (RAM)

Roberto Firmino ran his socks off against United, and the Brazilian could get a rest with super-sub Shaqiri being the third man in our attack.

Sadio Mane (LAM)

Mane found his scoring boots against United, and the Liverpool forward seems set to score more on Friday.

Salah was marshalled well by the United defence on Sunday, and we could see a similar tactic being used by the Wolves.
