Liverpool youngster Ki-Jana Hoever has been promoted to train with the first-team, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 16-year-old was called up to train with the first-team due to the injuries to Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Nat Phillips (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The youngster is capable of playing as a right-back and centre-back and recently made his Premier League 2 debut against Everton last month.
James Pearce highlighted that Hoever made his U18 debut in mid-September and he seems to be progressing really well.
It will be interesting to see if the youngster gets any games due to the injuries in the side, and some Liverpool fans were certain the 16-year-old Dutchman would come good.
If we’re keeping clean sheets with him in a few years and he’s not called ‘The Hoever Dam’ then what’s the point.

Learn all he can from van Dijk. He’ll probably improve so much with this. Looking forward to when they merge academy/first team in Kirkby.
