Brighton & Hove Albion star Pascal Gross had a brilliant campaign last time around and has been linked with a move to Liverpool (h/t Daily Mail).

The Reds are enjoying their best start to a Premier League season and sit four points clear of Manchester City after 18 games, but we could do with one or two signings in the winter window as the injuries pile up.

Gross would be a great option to have in our midfield as we don’t have someone who can be classified as an attacking midfielder but the German laughed off suggestions that he is off to Liverpool while speaking to Argus (h/t Daily Mail):

“I don’t read the newspapers but then maybe some friends or here [at the club] someone sees it and makes a joke.

“I have got nothing to say about it.”

Gross added that he was enjoying his stint with the Seagulls and that is all he is thinking of.

“I am really enjoying and I’m really happy to play in the Premier League with Brighton.

“I hope we can continue as we have done. At the moment that is everything I care about. All the other stuff, that’s not my business.”

Gross could have been a smart signing for the side with his creativity on the pitch. Liverpool have a packed schedule in the coming months, and it would make sense for us to dip into the transfer window and strengthen the side.
