Trent Alexander-Arnold scores for Liverpool

The Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds have been handed a couple of injury boosts ahead of their Boxing Day clash against Newcastle United.

Trent Alexander-Arnold missed the tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers with an injury, though he was in the away section with the Liverpool fans.

The report claims that the 20-year-old Englishman is fit for the clash and Jurgen Klopp has to make a decision over who the starting right-back is against the Magpies.

James Milner played in that position against Wolves while Nathaniel Clyne was our right-back in the win over Manchester United.

Naby Keita of Liverpool

The other injury boost regards Naby Keita. The Guinea international had to be replaced in the win over Wolves but the report claims the midfielder should be fit for the Boxing Day game. This will come as great news for Klopp as we don’t really want any major injuries in this packed schedule.

The Reds face Arsenal and Manchester City after the Newcastle tie and those two games could have a huge say in our title ambitions.

Liverpool sit four points ahead of City after 18 Premier League games, and we have conceded just seven goals in the league this season.

The Reds have never lifted the Premier League crown and must take it one game at a time to inch closer to the holy grail.

Newcastle won’t be easy opposition and hopefully, Klopp can get the team another three points on Wednesday.
