Mohamed Salah of Liverpool

Mohamed Salah was in fine form against Wolverhampton Wanderers as he scored one and assisted Virgil van Dijk for the other goal.

The Egyptian has 11 goals and five assists in the Premier League this season and BBC pundit Garth Crooks compared our star to one of the best in the world.

Crooks told the BBC (h/t Express):

“This was a blistering performance by Mo Salah against Wolves, especially in the first half. Salah’s movement off the ball was like watching Lionel Messi. He was everywhere.

“There was a moment when the Liverpool forward was even defending in his team’s back four.”

The pundit highlighted the star’s movement for the first goal of the game where the Egyptian provided a neat finish.

“It was Salah who took the free-kick, followed the ball into the box and watched his team-mates work the ball around the penalty area.

“All the time, Salah never took his eyes off the ball until it left his boot into the back of the net. Genius.”

The win put Liverpool four points clear at the top of the Premier League and our next game is against Newcastle United at Anfield.

Liverpool have the chance to put more pressure on second-placed Manchester City when we face them early in January and there is no doubt that Salah will play a huge role in that game too.
