21-year-old Liverpool striker to make decision about future amidst lack of game time

Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke is contemplating  joining Crystal Palace on loan and will make his decision in the next 48 hours, according to the Daily Mail.

The England U21 star has failed to play a single competitive game for Liverpool this season and is currently out with an injury.

It has been a frustrating spell for Solanke under Jurgen Klopp with Roberto Firmino being our first-choice striker and the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi getting important minutes ahead of the 21-year-old.

The report adds that the FA are concerned about the development of the England U21, who impressed in November with goals for the Three Lions.

There is interest from other quarters with Brighton and Huddersfield also keeping tabs on Solanke. However, the report adds that Brighton want to sign the Liverpool star on a permanent deal.

It seems difficult for Solanke to get minutes in the second half of the campaign too as Mohamed Salah has played games as the striker too.

The Englishman needs minutes and should be allowed to leave on loan. Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson have impressed this season at their respective clubs, and the Reds should allow Solanke to leave in the January window.

The Reds seem well-stocked in the striker’s department and for the Englishman to develop, he has to play first-team minutes regularly.
