Liverpool are lining up a £27million move for Trabzonspor youngster Abdulkadir Omur, according to the Mirror.
The report claims that the Reds are set to defeat Manchester City for the signature of the 19-year-old. Jurgen Klopp has kept tabs on the versatile attacker and wants to land the talent this month.
It all depends on the future of Adam Lallana, according to the report. The Englishman has struggled to feature regularly in our starting XI this season and Southampton and Fenerbahce are keeping tabs on the Englishman.
The report claims that Omur is being seen as a long-term replacement for Lallana, but Klopp isn’t interested in letting go of the former Southampton man yet.
Omur could be a decent signing for us as he is already a first-teamer for the Turkish side this season. Liverpool haven’t bought many players in the winter window under Klopp and it will be interesting to see our activity in the coming weeks.
The Reds sold Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth and even let Nathaniel Clyne go on loan to the Cherries.
Omur is a player for the future and Klopp has a history of working well and developing talents. It will be important for the team to continue performing to their best as we look to pick our first piece of silverware under Klopp.
