Reports from Germany (h/t Mirror) claim that Colombian star James Rodriguez could be set for a switch to England in January.

The 27-year-old joined Bayern Munich on loan from Real Madrid last season on a two-year deal, after failing to light up the Santiago Bernabeu.

The former Monaco star is unhappy at the Bundesliga giants and unwanted by his parent club, as per the report.

Liverpool have an eye on the attacking midfielder while Arsenal are also interested in the 27-year-old.

Rodriguez was the star of the 2014 World Cup but hasn’t been able to push on from that tournament. A big money move to Real hasn’t paid off but he wasn’t poor last season at Bayern.

The Colombian registered seven goals and 11 assists for the Bundesliga champions while this season he has just three goals in the league this time.

Rodriguez’s versatility allows him to pretty much play anywhere in the attacking third, and the Colombian could do a great job in our attack.

Granted he isn’t a player that does a lot of tracking back, but the 27-year-old could be a game-changer off the bench and also provide some respite to our attackers in the second half of the campaign.

Xherdan Shaqiri has done very well since his move from Stoke, even though he has been a squad player for much of this season.

Rodriguez could shine under a manager like Jurgen Klopp and hopefully, we make some quality moves in the winter window as we attempt to win the Premier League.
