Liverpool Echo has claimed that the Reds are not interested in signing Turkish wonder-kid Abdulkadir Omur.

Liverpool have been linked with a £27million move for the 19-year-old, according to the Liverpool Echo.

However, the report claims that Jurgen Klopp is not interested in signing players in January and Omur is not a target for the German currently.

Omur is enjoying a fantastic season with Turkish giants Trabzonspor and has the versatility to play across the front line.

The 19-year-old would be a valuable addition to the side given his potential, and Liverpool could do with more attacking options in the side.

The Reds rested several players in their FA Cup defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane did not start the game, and the team as a whole looked out of sync.

Liverpool have been busy in the winter window selling off Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth and permitting Nathaniel Clyne to join the Cherries on loan until the end of the season.

We also have some injury concerns regarding the defence with Dejan Lovren being the latest player to suffer a problem.

The Croatian limped off with a hamstring injury just a few minutes in the FA Cup clash, and we ended up giving a debut to Ki-Jana Hoever. We might end up playing Fabinho in the heart of the defence in our next game, which is against Brighton.

The Reds can now concentrate solely on the Champions League and Premier League, and hopefully, the early cup exits don’t come back to haunt us at the end of the season.
