Portuguese outlet Report (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that Rafa Camacho will not leave Anfield on loan this season.
Earlier reports (h/t Liverpool Echo) had suggested that the 18-year-old right-back would be joining Sporting Lisbon on an 18-month deal. The latest news claims Jurgen Klopp wants the youngster to remain at the club.
The 18-year-old started in our 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup and did a decent job in a much-changed Liverpool team.
The Reds also handed crucial minutes to Curtis Jones and Ki-Jana Hoever, but it was not enough to get one over the Premier League side.
Liverpool face a crunch with regards to fit centre-backs with Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren currently out with injury.
Klopp played Fabinho as one of the centre-backs in the loss to Wolves, and we are a little thin regarding right-backs too as Nathaniel Clyne was allowed to join Bournemouth on loan till the end of the season.
Camacho joined the Reds from Manchester City, and the report claims that Klopp sees him as a right-sided option.
Liverpool could do without any other players picking up major injuries as we are in the second half of the campaign.
There are no distractions left for the team as we are only competing in the Premier League and Champions League.
