RB Salzburg attacker Moanes Dabour is interested in a move to Liverpool, according to Tuttomercatoweb (h/t Daily Star). The Israel international has been in great form for the Austrian side this season, having notched up 20 goals in all competitions.

The 26-year-old would be available for €25m due to a release clause in his contract, as per the report, and there is interest from La Liga side Valencia too.

The report adds that the player is desperate to play under Jurgen Klopp, however, the Reds are not expected to make any signings in the winter window. Liverpool sold Dominic Solanke to Bournemouth and allowed Nathaniel Clyne to leave on loan.

The Reds spent big in the summer to sign Alisson, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri, while Naby Keita was essentially purchased a season earlier from RB Leipzig. Dabour seems to be in the form of his life and it will be interesting to keep track of the Israeli international.

The 26-year-old could be a decent signing to have as cover for our forwards. Salzburg have produced quality players in recent seasons.

Keita and Sadio Mane spent their initial European years at the Austrian club, and have done brilliantly in Germany and England respectively.

Liverpool only have Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi as cover for Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, and we could do with more options in the attack.

Dabour isn’t the most high-profile name to be linked to but he could be a surprise performer in the Premier League should we sign him.
