Former Liverpool star Conor Coady has been brilliant for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season, and the Daily Mail claims that the Wolves captain is being watched by the Reds.

The report adds that Arsenal are also interested in the 25-year-old centre-back due to his ability to play out from the defence.

Coady has been one of the stars for the newly promoted side as they hold wins over Tottenham and Chelsea this season.

The captain is in line for fresh contract talks later this month as Wolves try to ward off interest from the top Premier League clubs (h/t Daily Mail).

The 25-year-old has been a model of consistency for Wolves ever since he joined from the Reds.

The report adds that Coady will have a couple of years left on his current deal and the club want the Englishman to be on the same pay scale as some of the top earners.

Virgil van Dijk & Joe Gomez of Liverpool

The former Liverpool star has transformed into a quality defender and it will be interesting to see his progress over the coming months.

Liverpool have a couple of world-class defenders in Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk, but the likes of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip have struggled to perform consistently over long periods of time.

Coady could be a decent option for a squad player and he looks like Premier League quality now after failing to impress during his stint at the Reds.

The Reds haven’t made a signing in the winter window, but the return of the Englishman to Anfield would not be a bad deal for Liverpool and Coady.
