Eder Militao is being tracked by Liverpool, according to the Daily Star, with the Brazilian defender claiming he prefers a move to England and isn’t interested in Real Madrid.
UOL Esporte (h/t Daily Star) adds that the FC Porto defender is aware of interest from the Spanish giants but told the club that he prefers a move to the Premier League.
The report adds that the 20-year-old wants to play for the Brazil national side and feels his chances would be limited at Real due to the presence of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos.
Militao signed for Porto from Sao Paulo in the summer and has been one of their most impressive players this season.
The 20-year-old is capable of playing as a centre-back or a right-back and could be a smart signing for Liverpool, having a release clause of €42.5m (h/t Daily Star).
Joe Gomez can play both roles and we have Trent Alexander-Arnold as our first-choice right-back, but both players are injured at the moment.
The report adds that Everton have tracked the Brazilian defender while Manchester United scouted the defender in Porto’s 4-1 win over Portimonense earlier in the month.
The Red Devils signed Diogo Dalot from Porto at the start of the season, and it will be interesting to see which Premier League club Militao could move to.
