Trent Alexander-Arnold has penned a new deal with Liverpool and is the latest player to extend his stay at Anfield.
The academy product has been excellent for the Reds since last season and has helped us to the top of the Premier League standings in this campaign.
The 20-year-old last signed a contract with the Reds 18 months ago and has joined the likes of Andy Robertson, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Joe Gomez and Mohamed Salah sign new deals under Jurgen Klopp’s tenure.
The England right-back has grown from strength to strength under Klopp and has become our first-choice in the position overtaking the more experienced Nathaniel Clyne.
Alexander-Arnold was ecstatic with the new deal and told LiverpoolFC.com:
“I’m ecstatic and really proud.
“I feel privileged to have the support and the trust the club has in me to offer me a new deal.
“There was no doubt in my mind to sign and extend the years I have with the club. Hopefully we can achieve a lot of success in those years.”
The youngster further claimed that he didn’t have to think twice when presented a new contract, and thanked his brother and manager for getting the deal done quickly.
This will come as great news for all Liverpool fans as the team has secured some of its best stars on long-term deals.
The core of this Liverpool team seems set to stick around for several seasons, and with Jurgen Klopp being our manager, great things are to come.
