Liverpool have been linked with a move for Porto star Eder Militao (h/t Daily Star) but the defender’s agent has claimed that the Brazilian is not moving in the January window.

The 20-year-old can play as a centre-back or right-back and has impressed in his debut season for the Portuguese giants. The report adds that Manchester United and Real Madrid are also interested in the 20-year-old, and the Madrid giants are being touted as “front-runners” for Militao.

The player’s agent, Guiliano Bertolucci, claimed that Madrid are in the running for Militao’s signing in the summer while speaking to AS (h/t Daily Star):

“There is no possibility of the player leaving his current club in the winter market. We’re not ruling out his signing for Real Madrid in the summer.”

The pursuit of the highly-rated defender also has a monetary issue, with his current release clause being €50m, and the report adds that the clause will rise to €75m if the player remains at Porto beyond this transfer window.

Brazil outlet UOL Esporte (h/t Daily Star) claims that the 20-year-old knows about the interest from the La Liga giants but prefers a move to England.

Liverpool could do with another quality centre-back, with Virgil van Dijk being the star for us this season. Joe Gomez was in great form prior to his injury against Burnley and hopefully, he should return to the team in a few weeks.

The Reds have several problems at the moment, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum, Dejan Lovren and Gomez all injured.
