Reputed journalist claims that these two Liverpool stars would leave Anfield in the summer

Daniel Sturridge

Paul Joyce of the Times (h/t Daily Star) claims that Liverpool will allow Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge to leave at the end of the season.

Sturridge and Moreno have struggled to start games for the Reds this season, and have fallen down the pecking order. Andy Robertson

is possibly the best left-back in the Premier League and that has reduced Moreno’s chances of starting, while Sturridge has a lot of competition ahead of him.

Roberto Firmino has started several games as our striker but this season, Mohamed Salah has also played as a striker. Sturridge has seen limited game time due to numerous injuries.

Losing the pair won’t be too big a blow to the Reds given that they are squad players but we need quality cover for Robertson next season.

The Reds could also do with another forward in the side, with Divock Origi not being in the best of forms since his return from Wolfsburg.

Sturridge has scored some important goals for the Reds this season, the one against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge being the highlight of the season, but he doesn’t give as much to the team as the hard-working Firmino does.

Similarly, Moreno is a decent player but the Spaniard’s game is filled with errors and he hasn’t improved much under the German manager.

It will be interesting to see the changes being done in the summer as the Reds made some significant signings at the start of this season.
