Liverpool have been handed a couple of injury boosts ahead of their clash against Leicester City. The Mirror reports that Fabinho has returned to light training and the medics are hopeful that the Brazilian will be fit to play against the Foxes.

The report adds that Georginio Wijnaldum should also be back in contention after missing the win over Crystal Palace.

This should solve our defensive crisis for one game as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Ki-Jana Hoever carrying knocks.

Fabinho has played as a right-back earlier in his career, and the former Monaco star could slot into that position against the Foxes.

The Brazilian was subbed in the win over Palace but the injury is not as severe as originally thought. The report adds that Alexander-Arnold should be back for our clash against West Ham while Gomez should be fit against the Hammers too.

Fabinho has been our star to solve the defensive crisis in recent weeks as he played a couple of games as a centre-back.

The Reds won’t have James Milner to slot into the right-back position against the Foxes after his red card against Palace.

Liverpool need to keep winning to keep the pressure on Manchester City, and we hold a four-point lead over the Cityzens.
