Liverpool have made contact with Brescia over Italy star Sandro Tonali, according to Massimo Cellino.
The owner of the Serie B club was speaking to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Mirror) and added that the Reds had called him over the 18-year-old.
Tonali has played 37 times for the Serie B side scoring three goals and was even called up by the senior Italy side in November.
The report adds that Cellino, the former Leeds United manager, will only sell Tonali if the move is right for the midfielder and not just for the highest transfer fee.
The 18-year-old midfielder would be an excellent signing for the Reds, and it will be interesting to see where the talent could head to as Cellino claimed there is widespread interest from several clubs (h/t Mirror).
Liverpool have several options for their midfield and we have seen the best of Georginio Wijnaldum this season.
Fabinho is also coming into his own while Naby Keita is yet to fire since his move in the summer. We have a ton of experience with James Milner doing a fantastic, and Jordan Henderson is close to being irreplaceable.
