The Daily Mail reports that Birmingham have a tough job on their hands to keep hold of teenage striker Romello Mitchell. The 16-year-old has been in great form for the U18 Birmingham side, and the report claims that Liverpool are monitoring the progress of the Englishman.
The forward has been fantastic for Birmingham, scoring twice in the U16s Blades Cup final against Liverpool and has been on a bit of a scoring spree for the youth teams at the club.
The report adds that several Championship and Premier League sides are contemplating bidding for the 16-year-old, with Manchester United also keeping a close eye on Mitchell.
Jurgen Klopp isn’t shy of playing youngsters when there is a need, and this season has seen the rise of Rafa Camacho and Ki-Jana Hoever. The pair played in our FA Cup loss to Wolves, while other Liverpool youngsters such as Marko Grujic, Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson are impressing on loan deals.
Mitchell needs to train under the best coaches who can develop the talent, and Anfield would be a great destination for the 16-year-old.

The Reds have seen the rise of Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, and it will be interesting to keep an eye on Mitchell’s development for the remainder of the season.
