Manchester United have been fantastic under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the Norwegian replaced Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese was replaced by the Red Devils after we defeated them 3-1, and Ole has won all eight of his games in charge.
The streak has helped the Manchester side re-enter the race for the top four, and there is a lot of confidence brimming in the side.
The Red Devils have beaten Arsenal and Tottenham under Solskjaer, and Jesse Lingard was certain they would get one over Liverpool when we meet them on February 24. The clash takes place just a few days after both teams play in the Champions League.
Lingard claimed that their playing style had changed under Solskjaer and believed that the Reds would be their next big scalp (h/t Liverpool Echo):
“Our way of playing and way we are thinking has changed. Next time against Liverpool? We’ll win.”
This certainly will be a great clash as both sides are now playing incredible football. Liverpool have been pragmatic this season, and it would not be a surprise if we win the game by one goal and keep things tight at the back.
However, many Liverpool fans were pleased with the comments of Lingard regarding the clash in February, and had a pop at the Englishman on Twitter.
