Marko Grujic celebrates

Marko Grujic has been enjoying his time at Hertha Berlin this season. The Serb is yet to taste defeat while playing for the Bundesliga club, and even scored a fantastic goal in the 2-2 draw against Schalke at the weekend.

The midfielder is on loan from Liverpool and has been one of the stars who has impressed away from Anfield. Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson are a couple of other Liverpool players doing well away on loan, however, Grujic caught the eye after he celebrated his goal like how Cristiano Ronaldo does.

The Serbian was asked by Bild (h/t Liverpool Echo) about him copying one of the best in the world and responded:

“Pure emotion. I could not control it, it just happened like that.

“I look up to Ronaldo. He is a great role model for me because he works obsessively on his development. Messi may be the more talented player, but Ronaldo has worked it all out.”

Grujic certainly needed to play regularly, especially after helping Cardiff reach the Premier League last season. It would have been better if he went out on loan to a Premier League club this season, however, Hertha are enjoying the best of the 22-year-old.

The Serb has a pair of goals from nine league appearances this season and seems set for a lot more.

The 22-year-old certainly gives 100% and more on the pitch, and it will be interesting to see how he fits into the Liverpool midfield next season.
