Former Premier League striker Andy Cole believes Liverpool will spend big in the summer window. Jurgen Klopp signed Alisson, Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho this season, with three of those players coming for huge sums.
The Reds also spent big to sign Virgil van Dijk last January. Cole was speaking to Sky Sports where he claimed that the Reds would spend even if they won the Premier League title this season (h/t Express):
“They’ll go again in the summer, Liverpool will, because it doesn’t matter if you win the league because you’ve still got to try and better yourself.”
The former Manchester United striker even claimed that Manchester City could do the same even if they win the title. Cole finished by suggesting that the increased competition could lead to players becoming better:
“That’s how competition gets better and that’s how those players become better players. They will go again, they definitely will go again.”
Liverpool have broken a record or two under Klopp, and it is refreshing to see FSG backing the manager with some expensive signings.
Apart from Keita, all the other signings have done really well this season. The Reds lead the Premier League and it will be interesting to see who we could target in the summer.

We have a great attack, a fantastic goalkeeper and quality players for most of the positions. The club could do with another quality centre-back and hopefully, we splash the cash in the summer window to become unbeatable.
