Latest Liverpool news: New Balance kits breaking records for Reds

Liverpool are enjoying a fine season on the pitch, and our New Balance kits seem to be flying off the shelves.

A release from the Liverpool store claimed that the 18/19 kit has been the best selling jerseys in our history, and the club has to reorder home shirts as many home items are out of stock at the moment. The Mirror carried a statement from the store which read:

“Due to significant demand for our home kit, we are currently out of stock of many of our home kit items. The 18/19 kits have been the most successful in our history.

“In order to meet this demand, we have placed a further reorder of home shirts and we’re working hard to ensure supporters are able to purchase as soon as possible.”

The release added that supporters would be notified regarding the availability of kits sometime in mid-February.

Second successive year of record-breaking kits

The Mirror adds that last season’s New Balance kit was also the best selling at that time, but this year it has surpassed all those returns.

The deal with the company is worth £45million each year, and ends after the 2019/20 campaign. New Balance might not be as well known in some countries compared to other brands, but that doesn’t seem to affect the sales, as the demands are high.

The manufacturers need to keep this in mind next season, and hopefully, stocks don’t run out when the season is in full flow.
