Latest Liverpool news: Team checks into Marbella for training camp

Liverpool don’t play until next Tuesday in the Champions League last-16 first leg against Bayern Munich at Anfield.

The Reds picked up a morale-boosting 3-0 win over Bournemouth in their last game, and have reached Marbella for a four-day camp, according to a release by the club.

The report adds that the Reds will stay at Marbella. There are 31 players on board in the training camp.

Several first-team Liverpool stars travelled with boss Jurgen Klopp. The German knows there is a lot of pressure on the Reds, but seems to be determined to end the season on a high.

A freshly shaven Mohamed Salah was also seen checking in, with Andy Robertson giving him company.

Salah got a goal in the 3-0 win over the Cherries, and Roberto Firmino was also pictured as the Reds prepare for an important training camp.

The Reds are tied on top of the table with Manchester City, but have a game in hand over the Cityzens. One player that seems to be getting into form is Naby Keita, and the Guinea midfielder wasn’t the only one looking good in the Bournemouth game, with Roberto Firmino hitting form too.

Big games for Liverpool coming up

After Bayern, we play Manchester United in the Premier League and that is one game we cannot lose. Virgil van Dijk will have to be at his best against the Red Devils as he is suspended for the clash next Tuesday.

It was great seeing Trent Alexander-Arnold getting some minutes against Bournemouth, and hopefully, he can help us beat Bayern and United.

There was more good news for the supporters as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also made the trip to Marbella and it is to be seen when features for us this season.

Post our last trip to Dubai, we saw the team actually play some poor football against Leicester and West Ham. Hopefully, that is not the case when they return from Marbella on Friday.
