Latest Liverpool news: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain trains with the team and calls out Andy Robertson
Liverpool are currently in Marbella as they seek to make full use of the 10-day break between games.
The Reds play Bayern Munich in the Champions League on 19 February, and the training camp could help Jurgen Klopp plot the downfall of the Bavarians.
One player who won’t be starring in that clash is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The English midfielder is still recovering from his long-term injury but did make the trip to Marbella.
The 25-year-old seems to be getting close to full fitness, and Klopp even claimed he could play a part in our Champions League journey if we go through to the quarter-final or semi-final.
However, the Ox looked great in a clip shared by the club, and he even called out Andy Robertson suggesting the Scot isn’t as great as him.
“Watch that footage back – I’ve staked a claim for MOM! Andy Robertson, still not as good as me!” 😂

The return of the Ox would be a boost for Liverpool
The Reds should not push the former Arsenal man to play games unless he is fully fit. However, it seems like things are going in the right direction for the player, and it looks like he might play a part in the last couple of months of this season. The Ox provides the Reds with more drive in the midfield and gives us something different.

The Englishman was in great form before a horrible knee injury ended his campaign late last season. It will be interesting to keep a watch on him in the coming weeks. Hopefully, he has an important role to play in our Premier League and Champions League challenges this season.
