Latest Liverpool news: Robbie Fowler unsure about Liverpool returning from Marbella break

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler is concerned about which Liverpool team will turn up for the clashes against Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

The Reds have been on a mini-break in Marbella and will play against Bayern in the Champions League on Tuesday.

However, the Liverpool legend highlighted how we didn’t perform well and lost our rhythm after the Dubai trip.

The Reds returned from that break to draw 1-1 with Leicester and West Ham but got back to winning ways against Bournemouth.

Writing for the Mirror, Fowler added:

“There was absolutely no doubt they lost a bit of rhythm after the last break, which cost them points against Leicester and West Ham.

“They looked a little rusty. I hope the same thing doesn’t happen this time.”

However, the Englishman backed Jurgen Klopp to deal with this issue ahead of two huge ties.

European night will get Liverpool in gear

Fowler also believed the Champions League clash should help to “blow the cobwebs” away.

Liverpool play at Anfield on Tuesday, and it should be the scene for another magnificent European night.

The Reds have won all their games at home in the Champions League, and it will be interesting to see if we go straight for the jugular in the first leg.

Liverpool are without Virgil van Dijk for the first leg but Bayern have their issues too. Hopefully, we overcome the Bavarians and pick up a handy advantage after the first leg.
