Latest Liverpool news: Andy Robertson wants the team to play “full-throttle” against Bayern Munich
Liverpool face Bayern Munich in the first leg of our round of 16 Champions League clash on Tuesday and Reds defender Andy Robertson wants the team to be at their best.
The Scot was speaking to the club’s website and claimed the Reds could cause problems to any team in the world:
“We need to be full-throttle for that game. They are such a good team and they have been the last six or seven years so we know what a tough task it will be.
“But we believe we can cause any teams problems and we have to be at our best.”
The Reds had brilliant home support in the 3-0 defeat of Bournemouth, and Robertson was counting on the same on Tuesday.
The Scotland captain claimed the players feed off the energy from the fans and this provides a little advantage to the team.
The Reds defeated PSG, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade at home this season but lost all three away games in the group.
A tough test awaits Bayern
The Germans aren’t doing great this season and were slightly fortunate to come out with a 3-2 win over Augsburg in the previous game.
Liverpool have had 10 days to prepare for this game, and we should come out with all guns blazing at Anfield.
Although the Reds would be without the suspended Virgil van Dijk, we should have enough to get us over the line on Tuesday.

Liverpool can put on a great attacking show against Bayern and if the fans get into play, the Bavarians will find it difficult to perform at Anfield.
