Latest Liverpool news: Andy Robertson wary of threat possessed by Manchester United

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has warned the team of the quality that Manchester United possess ahead of their clash on Sunday.

The Red Devils lost early in the season 3-1 at Anfield, which was Jose Mourinho’s last game in charge, however, they look great under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The only blip under the Norwegian has been the 2-0 loss against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League recently.

Robertson was speaking ahead of the big clash and hoped that the Reds could do the job at Old Trafford on Sunday (h/t Mirror):

“You look at their teamsheet or squad list and it’s full of stars – they came to the party and they have a fantastic team.

“It’s always a big game against them, but it’s a huge one because they’re a different team playing some really good football. I think we need to be wary of them.

“We know what we’re coming up against and we need to stop their danger-men but hopefully we’ve got enough to cause them problems as well to get the result that we need.”

Liverpool need to keep the wins coming

The Reds looked good against Bayern Munich in the last game but could not break down the German’s defence. Liverpool created several chances but that final bit of quality missing from the final third.

Manchester City have looked imperious in recent weeks, and we have to be in similar touch to defeat United.

The Red Devils will be out to scupper our title charge, but we have lost just one Premier League game all season which was against City at the Etihad.

This rivalry is one of the biggest in the world, and hopefully, we come out on top at Old Trafford on Sunday.
