Latest Liverpool news: Liverpool set to break tradition and visit North America in pre-season

The Liverpool Echo (h/t Mirror) reports that Liverpool will visit North America again for their pre-season and break away from their tradition of alternating between Asia and America.

The report claims that there was a belief that the Reds would return to the Far East next season with China a possible destination for their pre-season.

The Reds have visited Asia every other year since 2007, and last visited Hong Kong a couple of years ago.

The report adds that Liverpool could play in Boston’s Fenway Park, and some of the other games could take place in New York and Chicago.

The Reds are then expected to take up a European leg of their pre-season tour, similar to what was done this season.

Liverpool celebrate win over Crystal Palace

Liverpool haven’t confirmed their plans for pre-season and it will be interesting to see what our plans are once this season ends.

Big games coming up for the Reds

Liverpool are locked in a huge battle against Manchester City for the Premier League title. The pair are on the same number of points but the Reds have a game in hand.

City have been in incredible form recently and the Reds need to be at their best to see off Pep Guardiola’s side.
