Latest Liverpool news: Reds train ahead of huge Manchester United clash on Sunday

Liverpool gear up for the big test on Sunday as they travel to Old Trafford for a Premier League clash.

The Reds have a game in hand on Manchester City and could open a three-point gap should they win their tie against the Red Devils.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were pictured in training and seemed to be in great spirits ahead of the game.

Virgil van Dijk trained with the team and the Dutch defender should return to the starting XI after missing the Bayern Munich draw due to a suspension.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was also pictured in training, and hopefully, the Englishman has a great game against the Red Devils.

Two players who could have a huge role to play are Brazilian pair Roberto Firmino and Fabinho. The striker should be a certain starter and it will be interesting to see if Fabinho starts in midfield.

No Shaqiri this time?

Xherdan Shaqiri was the match winner the last time these two clubs met, and it will be interesting to see if he gets a start on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah should be an automatic starter and hopefully, he comes up with a goal or two in the game.

Sadio Mane has been excellent for the Reds in the previous month, and Jordan Henderson was excellent in the 0-0 draw with Bayern a few days ago.

Naby Keita has also had some great games for us in recent weeks, and he could be on the bench against the Red Devils.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t played since last season and the Englishman is inching closer to a return to the first-team.

Manchester United have only lost against Paris Saint-Germain since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over, but we could be the first team to beat the Norwegian in the Premier League.
