Liverpool FC transfer news: Michael Johnson names Liverpool as one of the ideal clubs for rising star Che Adams
Birmingham midfielder Che Adams has taken the Championship by storm this season. The 22-year-old has scored 19 times in the Championship and former star Michael Johnson believes the Englishman is set for a big move soon.
The former defender was speaking to the Express where he claimed that Tottenham is one of the clubs that would suit the starlet and believes Adams would do well in a team that has a physical style:
“Che Adams is a real rough diamond for Birmingham.
“I think that there are a few different types of striker in the Premier League and I don’t think he would fit in at a team that isn’t about physically and likes to play their way through to goal slowly.”
Liverpool could be right for Adams
The former Birmingham defender further claimed that the 22-year-old loves playing around the box and could use his physicality before naming Liverpool as another option:
“I tend to see him as a player that wants to be physical and wants the ball in behind to use his pace.
“I think he would also fit in perfectly at a team like Liverpool.”
Adams seems set for big things and Johnson was relieved he did not have to take a decision on the future of the 22-year-old.
The former Birmingham star claimed that it was only a matter of time before Adams left the side despite the team wanting to keep hold of their talent.
