Latest Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp rubbishes rumours of bust-up with Liverpool stars

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has denied a bust-up with Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson after the 0-0 draw with Manchester United.

Reports (h/t Metro) had suggested that the German was upset with the pair after the limp showing by the Reds at Old Trafford.

Henderson and Klopp were involved in an exchange when the Liverpool captain was subbed off. He applauded the Liverpool fans before ignoring the manager, but Klopp called the Englishman back and had a word.

Klopp, however, rubbished claims of a fall-out with the pair in the dressing room (h/t Metro):

“There was nothing afterwards in the dressing room or whatever.

“Someone told me that I shouted at Hendo and Sadio in the dressing room, I could have shouted but Hendo wasn’t even there.”

Klopp them lashed out at some aspects of the media for creating a non-story:

“It’s bull****. Nowadays people don’t even need any kind of evidence or proof to write a story.”

A tame showing at Old Trafford

Whether Klopp blasted any players or not after the game, the manager had a right to be upset with the performance of the team.

Klopp was extremely animated throughout the tie as the Reds just could not get going. They had just one shot on target against a United team that had to use all their subs in the first half itself.

The point moved us back to the top of the table, but the Reds have to play better with 11 games to go in the Premier League.
