Liverpool FC transfer news: Timo Werner agrees on terms with Bayern Munich

Timo Werner has been linked with a move to Liverpool (h/t Liverpool Echo) recently, however, Bild (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims the 22-year-old has agreed on personal terms with Bayern Munich.

The Liverpool Echo adds that Liverpool would be in the market for a striker in the summer, and this will come as a massive blow to the side.

The report adds that Bayern have not agreed on terms with RB Leipzig, and it will be interesting to see how this story develops in the coming days.

Werner has been one of the rising stars in the Bundesliga, and has 13 goals in all competitions for Leipzig, despite having a poor World Cup with Germany in the summer.

A forward with immense potential

The former Stuttgart striker would be a perfect addition to the side and provide Roberto Firmino with some competition.

The youngster has an eye for goal and has the potential to be one of the best forwards in the world.

Liverpool have a fantastic first XI but our options for the attack aren’t the greatest. Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi have struggled to score goals regularly and the pair haven’t impressed over the past two years under Jurgen Klopp.

Similarly, there isn’t a lot of quality cover for the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah at Anfield.

Liverpool were busy in the summer as they signed four quality players for the side, and hopefully, we strengthen the attack once the season ends.
