Brazil legend Pele wished Sir Kenny Dalglish on his birthday and even had his say on the Premier League title race.
The Santos star hasn’t always been spot on with his predictions but backed Liverpool
to win the title earlier in the season.Pele then reiterated that the Reds are still his favourites to land the crown, despite losing top spot to Manchester City in the last game week.
The Reds drew with Everton while Manchester City picked up an important win over Bournemouth. The draws against Everton and Manchester United still hurt, but Pele was convinced of Jurgen Klopp lifting the crown.
The Brazilian is considered by some to be the best player ever, but his predictions have often fallen flat. The Guardian listed a number of predictions made by the forward, and none of them came true.
Pele predicted an African World Cup success before 2000, but that is yet to happen. Similarly in 1998, the Brazilian predicted that Spain were the favourites but the Europeans exited at the group stage.
Wishing Dalglish was great on the part of Pele, but many Twitter users pointed out the inglorious past he has with predictions.
