Latest Liverpool news: Liverpool fans react to Hakim Ziyech’s performance against Real Madrid
One of the biggest shocks in Champions League history took place last night as Ajax trounced three-time defending champions Real Madrid 4-1 at the Bernabeu.
Real came into the tie having a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, however, Ajax were hungrier than the Spaniards and raced into a 3-0 lead.
The star of the show was Dusan Tadic, who pulled the strings well from the middle of the park, however, Hakim Ziyech got the ball rolling with an excellent goal in the seventh minute.
The Moroccan international was linked with Liverpool in the summer (h/t Express) and has had another fantastic season for Ajax.
Goals and assists flowing for Ziyech
The 25-year-old seems to be in the form of his life and has been brilliant for the Dutch giants. The attacker has 16 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Ajax and seems to be enjoying his football.
Ziyech might find it hard to start games regularly should he join the Reds. However, he would provide a spark in our midfield, something that has been missing since Philippe Coutinho left.
It will be interesting to see how he performs in the latter stages of the Champions League once Ajax face some tougher sides.
Ziyech certainly was on top of his game on Tuesday, and many Liverpool fans wanted the Moroccan at the club.

Gunna join the bandwagon and say I wouldn’t mind us singing Ziyech in the summer.
We should be looking to bring in a creative player who does more work off the ball than Coutinho but who’s fitness can be relied upon more than Fekir. From what I’ve seen of Ziyech he seems ideal.
