Latest Liverpool news: Alisson Becker picks up Dubai Globe Soccer Best Goalkeeper award
Alisson was the most expensive goalkeeper in the world before Chelsea signed Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer window.
The Brazilian started his Liverpool career in excellent fashion and has conceded just 15 goals from 29 league games.
Our water-tight defence has helped us battle for the Premier League crown, and the Liverpool Echo reports that the keeper won the Dubai Globe Soccer Best Goalkeeper of the Year award.
The report adds that the award ceremony was held in January but the keeper was unable to attend. The ceremony also saw Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier Deschamps being awarded too.
Alisson breaking records aplenty
The report adds that Alisson has kept more clean sheets than any other keeper in Europe’s top five leagues. The former AS Roma star has kept more clean sheets than any keeper in their debut Premier League season since Pepe Reina.
Alisson has easily been one of the best signings we have made during the Premier League era, and has solved our problem of leaking goals at the back.
The Brazilian has also come up with some incredible saves, such as the one against Everton or Napoli, with both of those games ending 1-0 in our favour.

Alisson has the potential to get even better in the coming years, and hopefully, he can break more records along the way.
