Liverpool FC transfer news: Reds fans react to latest links with Timo Werner

Liverpool have asked RB Leipzig to keep them updated about the latest developments regarding Timo Werner, according to SportBild (h/t Liverpool Echo).

The report claims that the 23-year-old is a target for Jurgen Klopp as the German looks to bolster Liverpool’s attack in the summer.

The Reds have one of the best-attacking trios in the world, however, we could do with quality options in the final third.

Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge are the other first-teamers for the attack, but the pair haven’t impressed enough this season.

Dominic Solanke was also sold in the winter window, and it will be interesting to see what the Reds do next season.

Werner up for grabs in the summer

The 23-year-old German international can play across the front line and has been on fire this season for Leipzig. The forward has 13 goals and two assists for them in all competitions, despite having a poor World Cup with Germany.

The report adds that his manager, Ralf Rangnick, claimed that the German will not be joining Bayern Munich in the summer.

However, Rangnick was open to clubs contacting Leipzig in the summer and discussing proper terms with the Bundesliga side.

Werner has the potential to become a world-class striker and working under Klopp would be great for him too.
