Latest Liverpool news: Corentin Tolisso and Arjen Robben expected to miss Liverpool clash

Bayern Munich host Liverpool in a second leg Champions League round of 16 tie on Wednesday.

The tie is poised well at 0-0 and the Reds know a scored draw will be enough to see them through to the next round.

Liverpool were without the services of Virgil van Dijk in the first leg, but the Dutchman should be back in the starting XI after serving his suspension.

The Bundesliga’s website decided to run through the huge clash at the Allianz Arena and reported a couple of players are out of the tie.

Arjen Robben and Corentin Tolisso will not feature in the tie. The report adds that Kingsley Coman is also a doubt for the tie, but is hopeful of making the team for the second leg.

A couple of huge replacements for Munich

Thomas Muller and Joshua Kimmich are out of the tie due to suspension, and the report claims that Franck Ribery and Rafinha are expected to replace the pair.

We could target the experienced by ageing Rafinha down the right, however, the Reds have to be wary of the threat possessed by Ribery.

The Frenchman is still a quality winger, and it will be interesting to see how we do in this tie.

Bayern come into the tie in great form having scored six past Wolfsburg in the league, however, the Reds also scored four in their win over Burnley.

Sadio Mane seems to be the main man for the Reds having bagged a brace in the win while Roberto Firmino also did a great job scoring a pair.

There are doubts regarding the fitness of Trent Alexander-Arnold and James Milner for the tie. Hopefully, Trent is fit for the clash and has a great game in midweek.
