Latest Liverpool news: Loris Karius demands action against Besiktas over unpaid wages

The Liverpool Echo reports that Loris Karius has asked FIFA to take action against Besiktas over unpaid wages.

The on-loan Liverpool keeper joined the Turkish giants on a two-year loan deal and has had his problems in between the sticks.

The German was jeered by some fans in a recent game, and his manager also claimed there was something wrong with the keeper.

However, the report claims that Karius has not been paid for four months and had filed a complaint last month. The German wanted payment within 10 days, but the report adds that debt hasn’t been settled yet.

The report adds that Besiktas are obliged to buy Karius should certain performance related criteria are met in his two seasons at the club.

However, the Liverpool Echo now claims that the German’s future at the Turkish giants looks uncertain.

Liverpool fans back one of their own

Karius might have a mistake or two in him, but the German had some fine performances during his time at Anfield.

The former Mainz keeper was one of the best young keepers in the Bundesliga before joining the Reds, and it will be interesting to see how things develop with his current club.

Sending the German away to rebuild his confidence hasn’t worked and we have seen Alisson do incredibly well between the sticks this season.

Nevertheless, many Liverpool fans backed Karius over the latest revelations with some raging at the treatment from Besiktas.
