Latest Liverpool news: Fans praise Sadio Mane after brace against Bayern Munich
Sadio Mane was one of the stars for Liverpool in their 3-1 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The Senegal international scored the first and third goals of the game, and sent the German champions packing.
Mane has been the man for the Reds when it comes to goals in recent weeks. Mohamed Salah’s have dried up but his strike partner keeps finding the back of the net regularly.
The former Southampton forward has now scored 10 goals in 10 games for the Reds and has taken his season tally to 19 in all competitions.
Mane brings the magic
The first goal was a thing of beauty. Virgil van Dijk lumped a ball forward to Mane, who controlled really well.
The Senegal star swivelled in the penalty box sending Manuel Neuer the wrong way and calmly chipped the ball into an empty net.
Van Dijk them headed home our second after Joel Matip had scored an own goal. Mane made it a night to remember with his third, a diving header from a Salah cross.
Mane is in fantastic form for us at the moment, and he could be the key to us finishing the season with a trophy.
The 26-year-old seems to have a lot more in store for the Reds and many fans were ecstatic at the performance of the Senegal international.
