Jurgen Klopp provided an injury update on Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita ahead of the Fulham clash.
Keita is a doubt for the game while Henderson is out till the international break. The manager was speaking to the press and had an update on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain too.
The Liverpool midfielder got 40 minutes of action against Derby for an U23 side but picked up a slight problem and had to be replaced.
The manager claimed nothing serious had happened to the Ox, and expected him to return to the Reds after the international break (h/t LiverpoolFC.com):
“Oxlade, I heard nothing new about it so there’s no rush now. Of course not for the weekend anyway, but in general after international break he will be 100 per cent fit.”
The Ox returning for the Reds will be huge in the remainder of the season. Liverpool were brilliant against Bayern Munich and we play Porto in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The midfielder could play against Porto and more importantly, he can help us in our Premier League title race too.
The Reds have missed some creativity and drive from the midfield this season. The Ox could be the ingredient we need to get the better of Manchester City, and many fans were happy with the update on the Englishman.
