Latest Liverpool news: Scotland captain Andy Robertson to miss Kazakhstan tie
Sky Sports claims that Liverpool left-back and Scotland captain Andy Robertson will miss the Euro 2020 qualifier away at Kazakhstan due to a dental issue.
The report adds that the left-back travelled to Glasgow for checks and it was decided that surgery would solve the problem.
This would give Robbo a bit of a break after playing almost every game for the Reds since the start of the season.
The left-back could play against San Marino on 24 March, but will not travel with the squad to Kazakhstan, according to the report.
A needed breather for Robbo
This comes as a bit of a boost to Liverpool as Robertson needs a break. It will be tough for Scotland to replace their captain, however, the left-back has played 41 games in all competitions for club and country this season.
Robertson needs to be fit and healthy for the remainder of the campaign and played the entire 90 against Fulham.
The Scot was excellent throughout the game and even had a great chance of scoring, however, Sergio Rico made a fine save at the near post.
The international break comes at an interesting time for the Reds. We have picked up three consecutive wins in all competitions and moved top of the Premier League table.
