Fan rant of the day: Liverpool have nothing to fear regarding Real Madrid’s interest in Sadio Mane and here is why

Liverpool opinion: Reds have nothing to fear regarding Real Madrid’s interest in Sadio Mane

Zinedine Zidane returning to Real Madrid seems to have opened the door for more transfers to the club.

The La Liga giants were rudderless under Santiago Solari, and one Liverpool star has already been linked with a move to Madrid.

Mohamed Salah isn’t firing on all cylinders so his strike partner, Sadio Mane, is the man that Real want, according to France Football (h/t Express).

The report adds that Real were interested in the Senegal star last season too, but Zidane’s resignation poured water over any hopes of completing a deal.

Normally, any interest from Real or Barcelona should be a matter of concern for Liverpool. Luis Suarez, Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano and Philippe Coutinho all left for sunnier times in Spain, but the Reds should have nothing to fear this time.

A better, stronger and hungrier Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has created something special at Anfield and it is unlikely he will allow it to be broken soon.

The German spoke recently about keeping this bunch together as he wants to develop the players and achieve more here.

Looking at the Reds, almost every top player has extended his stay at the club recently. Mane was one of them this season, and the Senegal man is having his best campaign since joining the Reds.

The Senegal star has taken over the goalscoring duties from Salah and is one behind Sergio Aguero in the Golden Boot race.

The former Saint has this aggression about him, and it is finally paying off. Liverpool should be indebted to the form Mane is showing as they remain in the title race.

The Reds are on the up under Klopp

We are battling possibly the best Premier League side ever in Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, and are going toe to toe with them.

Sadio Mane in action against Manchester City

The Champions League is another brilliant chapter in Klopp’s time at Anfield. He took us to the final last season and we are in the quarter-finals this time around.

Liverpool were handed a favourable draw against Porto while Madrid were knocked out by Ajax.

The La Liga giants are still coming to terms with losing Cristiano Ronaldo and there could be a lot of upheaval in the summer.

The Reds seem to have sorted everything out in terms of the first-team. We have a great attack, defence, midfield and goalkeeper, and one of two quality additions to the side should take us to the next level.

This is possibly the best Premier League side we have had, and the growth under Klopp has been for all to see with each season going by.

This Liverpool won’t go down without a fight, and it would be a major surprise if Klopp is willing to let go of a key piece in his side to Madrid anytime soon.
