Latest Liverpool news: Trent Alexander-Arnold to invest millions into Liverpool economy after new boot deal

The Liverpool Echo reports that Trent Alexander-Arnold will invest into Liverpool after signing a new multi-million-pound deal.

The report adds that Alexander-Arnold is set to sign a new four-year deal with Under Armour, which would be the second highest boot sponsorship deal in the England side behind Harry Kane’s.

Alexander-Arnold has been on a meteoric rise in the last two years and was part of the England team that reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.

The report claims that Trent will use the amount from the deal to purchase land and build facilities such as football pitches in the area.

The youngster and his representatives will be looking to at plots during the summer and plans are in place to improve certain areas of the city too.

A true Red in the team

Alexander-Arnold came through the ranks at Liverpool and it is great to see an academy player become a first-teamer.

TAA even spoke about wanting to see more young players come through the academy and play for the senior side in an earlier interview (h/t Liverpool Echo):

“I saw Gerrard and [Jamie] Carragher do it when I was young. I always wanted to be them. The aim is for more young Scousers to come through the Academy and do the same.”

The Englishman has been great for the Reds this season but returned from England duty. The right-back is carrying a back problem, and hopefully, he will be fit for our next clash, which is against Tottenham.
