Liverpool FC transfer news: Guillem Balague claims Real Madrid’s hopes of signing Sadio Mane are “dead”
Sadio Mane has been the man in form for Liverpool since the turn of the year. The Senegal star has 17 goals in the Premier League and is leading our charge for two titles.
The former Southampton man has been scoring for fun and did the same for the national side during the international break too.
Spanish football expert Guillem Balague spoke about Mane being linked with Real Madrid on his YouTube channel (h/t Liverpool Echo).
The expert claimed that Zinedine Zidane wanted the Senegalese attacker to join last summer, and talks took place, but the deal went deal after the Frenchman left.
However, Balague claimed that Liverpool are not looking to sell their star despite the story cropping up:
“The story’s out there again but the problem is Liverpool have basically no interest whatsoever in getting rid of Mane.
“There is no buyout clause. There is no way to actually get Mane out of Liverpool.
“So with that in mind I would say that story is basically dead.”
Mane is the main man
The Senegalese forward is having his best season at Anfield, and it should not come as a doubt that some of the biggest clubs are eyeing him.
Fortunately, he signed a new deal with us this season, and we have a chance of winning two trophies this season.
Manchester City might have a game in hand on us in the Premier League, and hopefully, they drop some points in the coming weeks.

We play Tottenham at the weekend and need to get the three points at Anfield to keep Manchester City under pressure.
