Liverpool opinion: Liverpool should be chuffed if they get £12m from Ryan Kent’s sale
Ryan Kent has done a decent job this season for Rangers. The Liverpool winger joined Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on loan and has five goals and four assists in the Scottish Premiership this season.
The 22-year-old has done well after a couple of average/poor loan spells and has helped the Gers to second place in the league standings.
The Liverpool Echo claims that Rangers want Kent to remain at the club next season, however, the report adds that Liverpool are looking to get more than £12m for the Englishman.
That could be a great deal from the Reds and this would be another top deal from sporting director Michael Edwards.
Edwards doing the magic for Liverpool again
The sporting director has pulled off some incredible deals recently for the Reds. Danny Ings joined Southampton for £20m (h/t Telegraph) despite the Englishman picking up a couple of long-term injuries at the club.
Another player that left us in the winter window was Dominic Solanke for £19m (h/t BBC) but he didn’t make a single senior appearance for the club this season.
The pair didn’t play too many games for the Reds or even scored many goals for us, but getting close to £40m for the pair was incredible.
Edwards has worked his magic on these deals and if we get close to £12m for Kent, it would be another fantastic bit of work.
Although Kent is having a decent season, the Scottish Premiership isn’t at the same level as the Premier League.
Kent didn’t have a great time at Freiburg either and spent half of the last season on loan at Bristol City, where he didn’t score even once.
It is unlikely that the Englishman will feature in Jurgen Klopp’s plans at the moment. Harry Wilson is another attacker/winger doing great in the Championship, and he could be someone that gets to play in the first-team next season.

Liverpool have done well to sell some of their unwanted players for impressive amounts, and selling Kent in the summer could be another magical deal from Edwards.
