Liverpool FC transfer news: Real Madrid agree on terms over Adrien Rabiot transfer
Real Madrid are in “pole position” to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Adrien Rabiot, according to AS (h/t Mirror).
The French midfielder has fallen out with the Parisians and hasn’t featured for them since December.
The 23-year-old made just 15 starts in all competitions this season and found the back of the net twice.
Rabiot is a free agent at the end of the season, and the Mirror adds that Liverpool and Arsenal were interested in the midfielder.
However, Barcelona looked close to nabbing the Frenchman on a pre-contract but PSG did not want to conduct business with the La Liga champions (h/t Mirror).
The report claims that Real want to sign the Frenchman on a free in the summer, and a deal might be in place for the midfielder to join Real at the start of next season.
Zidane wants Rabiot
Zinedine Zidane wanted Rabiot last summer before his departure from the club, according to the Mirror.
Los Galacticos are looking for a long-term replacement to Luka Modric, and the report adds that Paul Pogba is one of several targets for Madrid.

Rabiot has the potential to be special but this is another twist in his transfer saga. The Frenchman would be a great addition to any team, especially on a free, and it will be interesting to see where he lands up next season.
