Liverpool FC transfer news: Ryan Sessegnon on the radar of Liverpool after Fulham relegation

Fulham joined Huddersfield as the second relegated club this season after their 4-1 hammering at the hands of Watford.

The writing was always on the cards of the Cottagers after they went through two managers this season. The team barely put up a fight after the first few games, and their gulf in class ultimately showed.

The return to the Championship will be tough for the team, and Football.london reports that Liverpool have Ryan Sessegnon on their radar.

The report adds that the 18-year-old is yet to sign a new deal with the club. His current contract ends in 2020 and could be sold if they fail to agree on a new deal, though he could leave on a free if he honours his current contract.

Liverpool aren’t the only ones interested in the 18-year-old with Manchester United and Tottenham also keeping tabs on the Englishman (h/t Football.london).

A quality player that just couldn’t get going this season

Sessegnon was one of the stars for Fulham last season as they gained promotion. However, the 18-year-old just could not perform consistently.

The Englishman has just two goals and six assists for the relegated team from 30 Premier League appearances this season.

What stands out for Sessegnon is the fact that he is an extremely talented player and his versatility knows no bounds.

The Englishman has been played as a left-back, left midfielder, left winger and striker this season, however, his best games previously came either as a full-back or on the left side of the midfield.

Sessegnon is a brilliant talent that needs to be under the right manager to take him to the next level, and it will be interesting to see if he is on the move once the season ends.
