Liverpool FC transfer news: Lorenzo Insigne open to leaving Napoli
Liverpool have been linked with Italian forward Lorenzo Insigne recently with Manchester City also interested in the talent.
The 27-year-old is one of the best and most consistent attackers in the Serie A and has 13 goals and six assists this season.
Speaking to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo), the Italian spoke about his age and claimed he is at a time where he could leave for the right deal:
“I am 28 years old [this year] and it could happen that I receive an offer I can’t refuse.”
The 27-year-old has been incredible for Napoli but it is tough for them to lift anything in Italy due to the presence of Juventus.
Napoli lie second in the championship and should easily finish in the Champions League spots come the end of the season.
A quality attacker who would be incredible for the Reds
Insigne has the versatility to play across the front-line and he can also do a job just behind the main striker.
The 27-year-old has the speed and the technical ability to do well in the Premier League and him playing alongside Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino could take our attack to the next level.
Insigne is still one of the best players in the world and it will be interesting to see if Napoli are willing to let him leave in the summer.

The Italian side made it difficult for Chelsea to sign Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho at the start of this season, though the pair haven’t done all too well since moving to England.
